The challenge they want to solve

In France, limited access to paediatricians leaves only a quarter of children under ten within a 45-minute drive of one, leading to overcrowded paediatric emergency departments with 47 to 56% of visits being non-urgent. Recognising the importance of the first 1,000 days of a child's life, the French government has decided to make this a priority policy in 2020 through 5 axes, one of which is to "Make simple, accessible and reliable information available to parents and future parents".

The impact they have

Parents are looking for digital answers to their questions while early childhood professionals are looking for ways to transmit information efficiently and cost-effectively. May answers to these needs by providing personalised content on the health and development of children aged 0-3 and on pregnancy, as well an instant messaging service with paediatricians and nurses and tools to track every aspect of parents and newborns lives.

The way we measure it

We measure it with the number of questions asked to healthcare professionals, the percentage of users feeling confident about their pregnancy/parenthood thanks to May, the percentage of users saying May has led to effective preventive action(s) and the percentage of users saying May has helped them make more appropriate use of the healthcare system.
