HyLight develops hydrogen-powered airships for infrastructure inspection (power lines, pipelines…) enabling electricity and gas infrastructure companies to reduce both the carbon emissions and the price of their inspections.
The challenge they want to solve
The market for inspection of electrical and gas infrastructures is booming, with mandatory inspections such as biweekly gas pipeline surveys and annual electrical line surveys. Today, most of this maintenance is carried out by helicopter, a costly and polluting method with limitations in terms of data collection.
The impact they have
The company’s solution provides a sustainable and economic solution for infrastructure maintenance. The estimated quantity of CO2 avoided is 1 ton by hour flown compared with helicopters.

We measure it with the number of kg of CO2e avoided for every hour flown with their solution (the "HyLighter").
