Our impact strategy
A new growth model
From natural disasters and heat peaks to rocketing social inequalities, each passing year alerts us on the urgent action we need to take. Facing these phenomena, can we still believe that sustainable economic growth can be driven without respecting human needs and planet boundaries?
We believe that investors have a key role to play in the twin social and environmental transitions: let’s be up to it.
As an impact investor, our mission is not only to drive capital towards vital solutions to social and environmental issues but also to support entrepreneurs in growing both their business and their impact.
Ring Capital is an impact “generalist”, meaning we address both social and environmental challenges. Indeed, we strongly believe that to succeed in the environmental transition we need to support the evolutions of our society and address main topics such as inclusion, accessibility, education and health.
To make sure that impact is not a wishful thinking, we put a robust impact methodology at the heart of our investment process:
- We use the SDGs as our referent framework
- We assess impact-native companies based on 4 impact criteria
- We exclude companies with potential negative externalities and risks at 3 levels: sectors, activities and practices
- We lead dedicated impact due diligence before investment: assessment impact potential, sustainability risks and opportunities, climate materiality and regenerative potential of the company
